Rent an Australia Phone Number for SMS: 30-Day Guide
· 4 min read
Need an Australian phone number to receive SMS online? Simvo offers an Australia rental with a +61 number and a 30-day period. You read incoming messages in your Simvo account, without receiving a physical SIM card. Start with the Australia rental selector to see the current full price.
The main decision is how long you need access. A one-time number is for one selected verification task. A rental keeps a number available for incoming SMS throughout its stated period. If you expect to request messages again next week, compare the rental with the one-time option before paying.
What the Australia rental includes
- An Australian +61 number for receiving SMS.
- A 30-day rental period, with the actual expiry shown in My rentals.
- Incoming messages displayed in your Simvo dashboard.
- An all-services product: you do not select one website before renting.
All-services describes the rental product, not a promise that every website will accept the number. The plan does not include outgoing calls, outgoing texts, mobile data or a physical SIM. Australia currently has a 30-day plan on Simvo; a six-month Australia plan is not listed.
How to rent an Australia number
- Sign in to Simvo and open Rent a number.
- Select Australia and review the 30-day period.
- Choose the wallet you want to pay from. Review its exact charge and balance.
- Select Review rental, check the confirmation, then confirm once.
- Open My rentals to find the number, status and expiry.
A number may be assigned shortly after confirmation. If the order is pending, follow that order rather than submitting another purchase. A listed plan can still fail its final availability check; follow the message shown by checkout.
Entering a +61 number correctly
Use the number exactly as shown in the rental details. If the other website has a separate country selector, choose Australia (+61) and follow its instructions for the remaining digits. Adding +61 both in the country selector and again in the number field can produce the wrong destination. Request an SMS rather than a voice call, then return to the rental inbox.
What does an Australian SMS rental cost?
The rental selector shows the full price for the period. Display-currency amounts help you compare options; the confirmation shows the amount charged to your chosen wallet. Check that amount before confirming. Separate wallet balances are not automatically combined. This guide does not fix a price that may later change.
If you need only one verification code
Open Australia one-time SMS numbers, choose the specific service and review the available options. A one-time order does not give you the same access period as the Australia rental. Decide which product fits your task before requesting a message.
Before the 30 days end
Check the expiry in My rentals. The current all-services checkout does not automatically renew the number. Do not rely on being able to purchase the same number again after expiry. For an account you need to keep, set up another recovery method supported by that service while you still have access.
If a message is missing, check the number format, the rental status and whether the sending website requested an SMS. Contact Simvo Support with the rental ID and a screenshot if needed. Hide passwords, card details and verification codes in screenshots. Rental refund rules differ from one-code orders; read the refund policy.
