How to Rent a Phone Number for SMS on Simvo
· 3 min read
Renting a phone number means keeping access to the same number for a defined period instead of purchasing a number for one verification code. On Simvo, rental numbers receive SMS messages inside your account. You do not need a physical SIM card, and the rental does not include voice calls.
This guide follows the current Simvo rental checkout: choose a country, choose a supported plan, review the total, and confirm with your wallet.
What countries and rental periods can you choose?
- United States: 28 days.
- United Kingdom: 30 days.
- Hong Kong: 30 or 180 days.
- Indonesia: 30 or 180 days.
- Australia: 30 days.
The six-month option is a 180-day plan. It is available for Hong Kong and Indonesia, while the US and UK have different supported periods. Check the selected country before deciding which plan to buy.
1. Create your account and fund your wallet
Create a Simvo account or sign in to your existing account. Open Wallet and select an available funding method. Rental checkout deducts the confirmed price from your selected wallet. If you display prices in Naira or another supported currency, review the charge in your selected wallet currency in the summary too.
You can browse the rental options before funding. That lets you check the total for the plan you need instead of guessing how much to add.
2. Choose a country and plan
Open Rentals, or select Rental in the dashboard number browser. Select the country whose number you need. The calling code appears beside its name: +1 for the US, +44 for the UK, +852 for Hong Kong, +62 for Indonesia, or +61 for Australia.
Choose the available rental period. The all-services rental does not ask you to select one website in advance: it can receive SMS from supported services during the rental. That describes the SMS product, not a promise that every website accepts every number.
3. Review and confirm the purchase
Check the country, duration, and total in the order summary. Select Review rental to open the confirmation window. Read the one-time charge to your selected wallet before selecting Confirm & rent.
Availability is checked when you confirm. A rental may be confirmed before its phone number has finished being assigned. If you see a pending status, check My rentals rather than immediately buying another number.
4. Open the number and read incoming SMS
Go to My rentals in your dashboard. Once the number is assigned, open it to view the number, expiry, and received messages. Enter the full number, including the correct country code, on the service you are using. Request the SMS there, then return to Simvo to read it.
If a message is missing, check the number and the service's verification screen. Avoid repeatedly requesting codes in a short period. You can contact Simvo Support with your rental details for help reviewing the order.
Before the rental ends
A rental gives you access for its displayed period; it is not permanent ownership. This checkout does not automatically renew your number. For an account you expect to keep using, arrange another supported recovery method before expiry where the service allows it.

For Australia, Brazil and the rest of the catalogue, compare SMS numbers and rentals by country. The directory separates one-time numbers from the countries with rental plans.
